6-100.

Find the area and perimeter of the following figures.

  1. A rectangle, with width, 7 and 3 fourths feet, length 10 and 1 fifth feet.

Remember, the perimeter is the sum of all sides while the area is the value of the space within the perimeter.

  1. A square with one side labeled 12.3 miles.

Remember, a square has  sides of equal lengths.

  1. 4 sided polygon with opposite sides parallel, labeled as follows: Bottom side, 4 and 2 thirds cm. Right side, 3 and 5 sixths cm. A line segment, from the bottom right vertex, to the top side, at a right angle, labeled 3 and 3 eights cm.

The area of a parallelogram is found by multiplying the base by the height. The perimeter is the sum of the  sides.

  1. A triangle has sides labeled 126.57 cm, 67 cm and 85.32 cm. An appended right triangle, with dashed legs, and the 85.32 cm side as the hypotenuse, is drawn, creating one large right triangle. The vertical leg is labeled, 79.2 centimeters.

The area of a triangle is found by multiplying the base by the height and dividing that product by .
