Copy and complete each of the Diamond Problems below. The pattern used in the Diamond Problems is shown at right.  

Generic Diamond Problem. One number, X, is located on the left side. The second number, Y, is located on the right side.  The bottom number is the sum of the two numbers, X and Y. The top number is the product of the two numbers, X and Y.

  1. Diamond Problem. Left 1 and one fifth, Right 3 fourths, Top blank,  Bottom blank

    Converting the mixed number into a fraction greater than one may prove to be helpful.
