In each angle problem below, solve for the variable(s). Write the names of the definition(s) and relationship(s) that justify the steps in your solution.

  1. Two adjacent angles together form a line. The angle on the left is 132 degrees. The angle on the right is, 2 x, + 3 degrees.

  1. A right triangle has the non-right angles labeled d and e. The leg adjacent to angle d is extended creating an exterior angle of 131 degrees.

    The angle measuring is an exterior angle to the triangle.

  1. A triangle has base angles of 19 degrees on the left and 24 degrees on the right. The side opposite 19 degrees is extended to the left creating an exterior angle labeled f.
