Solve each equation.

$\frac { x + 1 } { 5 } = \frac { 5 } { x - 1 }$
Hint (a):
Multiply both sides by $5(x - 1)$ to cancel the denominators.
Answer (a):
$x=\pm\sqrt{26}$

$\frac { 1 } { x } + \frac { 1 } { x + 2 } = 3$
Hint (b):
Multiply both sides by $x(x + 2)$ .
