For each pair of numbers, find the number that is exactly halfway between them.

    A horizontal axis with 7 tick marks. The first tick mark is 9 and the last tick mark is 15.

    Count towards the middle from both sides.

    Count towards the middle from both sides. The middle is 12. From 9 to the middle is 3 jumps to the right. From 15 to 12 is 3 jumps to the left.
