    Think about slicing a round cake with a slanted top. If you slice it horizontally and open it up, what shape will you see?
    What if you slice it vertically front-to-back? What about vertically left-to-right?

  2. Could one of the two cross-sections be used to create the original three-dimensional shape through revolution? Explain completely.
