Multiply the expressions in parts (a) through (d).

$( a + b ) ( a ^ { 2 } - a b + b ^ { 2 } )$
Hint (a):
Use the Distributive Property to expand the expression.

$( x - 2 ) ( x ^ { 2 } + 2 x + 4 )$
Hint (b):
Notice that this is the same problem from part (a), except instead of $a$ it has $x$ and instead of $b$ it has $−2$ .
Answer (b):
$x^{3} − 8$

$( y + 5 ) ( y ^ { 2 } - 5 y + 25 )$
Hint (c):
See part (b).
Answer (c):
$y^{3} + 125$

$( x - y ) ( x ^ { 2 } + x y + y ^ { 2 } )$
Hint (d):
See part (b).
