9-46.

Plot the following pairs of points on a four-quadrant coordinate graph. Then find the length of each segment.

1. $\left(−2, −4\right)$ and  $\left(−2, 8\right)$

1. $\left(3, 5\right)$ and $\left(−8, 5\right)$

1. $\left(2.5, −3\right)$ and $\left(5.1, −3\right)$

1. $\left(−4.3, 2\right)$ and $\left(−4.3, 6.3\right)$

To find the lengths, plot each pair of points on graph paper and count the number of spaces between each point.

Use the eTool below to plot each pair of points.
