Simplify and solve the following equations.

1. $\frac { 1 } { 4 } x + \frac { 1 } { 10 } = - \frac { 3 } { 20 } x - \frac { 7 } { 10 }$

Find a common denominator to get rid of the fractions.
Use $20$.
$5x+2=−3x−14$

Combine like terms and solve for $x$.

$x=−2$

1. $3x+4.5=4.5x−18$

Combine like terms and solve for $x$.

1. $\frac { 1 } { 12 } x - \frac { 1 } { 12 } = \frac { 1 } { 8 } x + \frac { 1 } { 6 } - \frac { 1 } { 6 } x$
