Read the Math Notes box for this lesson and then find the length of the radius and diameter of each of the following circles.  

The radius of a circle is a line segment from its center to any point on the circle. The diameter of a circle is a line segment going through the center and ending on opposite sides of the circle.

  1. A circle, with a line segment, labeled 3 cm, from the center point to the edge of the circle.

    Radius: cm
    Diameter: cm

  1. A circle, with a line segment, labeled 3 inches, from a point on the upper left edge, to a point on the lower right edge, of the circle, passing through the center.

    How is the information for this circle different than part (a)?

    Diameter: in.

  1. A circle, with a line segment, labeled 1 cm, from the center point to the edge of the circle.

    Use the same method as part (a).
