Simplify each multiplication problem below.

1. $\frac{5}{8}\cdot\frac{2}{3}$

First, multiply the numerators of the fractions.
$(5)(2)=10$

Then multiply the denominators of the fractions.
$(8)(3)$

Put the new numerator over the new denominator and then simplify.

$\frac{10}{24}=\frac{5}{12}$

1. $\frac{3}{4}\cdot\frac{2}{5}$

Use the same method as part (a).
