A line has intercepts $(4,0)$ and $(0,-3)$. Find the equation of the line.

Graph the two points on your paper in order to make a slope triangle to find the slope of the line.

Use the given $y$-intercept $\left(0,−3\right)$ to substitute for $b$ in the $y = mx + b$ form of a line. Therefore; $b = −3$.

Substitute $m$ and $b$ back into their positions in the equation.

$y=\frac{3}{4}x-3$
