If $f(x)=\frac{-5}{x+2}$ and $g(x)=(x−2)^3$, find each output value below (if possible). If it is not possible, explain why not.

1. $f(−2)$

Substitute $−2$ for $x$.

Is it possible to divide by $0$?

No solution.

1. $g(−1)$

Substitute $−1$ for $x$.
$(x−2)^3$
$(−1−2)^3$

Substitute $−7$ for $x$ in $f(x)$ and $1$ for $x$ in $g(x)$,
$1+(−1)=0$
