The owner of Universal Widgets has two teams of employees and wants to know which team is working the “best.” The assistant manager gathered data for the number of widgets made per team member on various days. He presented the data the owner as two boxplots, shown below. The owner is confused.   

A number line scaled by fifties from 0 to 200 has two box plots above it. The top box plot is labeled Team 1 with the left whisker from about 50 to 60, the box from 60 to 120 with a vertical line at 100, and right whisker from 120 to 150. The bottom box plot Is labeled Team 2 with the left whisker from 35 to 45, the box from 45 to 150 with a vertical line at 120, and right whisker from 150 to 160.

    Team 2's median is greater, hence they work faster.
    Team 1's IQR is almost half that of Team 2, so they are more consistent.
