Without graphing, identify the slope and y-intercept of each equation below.

1. $y = 3x + 5$

• In the form $y = mx + b$
$m =$ slope
$b = y$-intercept

1. $y=\frac{5}{-4}x$

• If the $b$ is not present in $y = mx + b$,
it is understood that $b = 0$.

1. $y=3$

• Similar pattern as in part (b).

Slope $= 0$

1. $y=7+4x$
