Use what you have learned about exponents to rewrite each of the expressions below.

1. $\frac { h ^ { 9 } } { h ^ { 11 } }$

Think about making ones and where any left over factors would remain.

$\frac{1}{h^2}$

1. $x^3\cdot x^4$

How many factors of $x$ are multiplied together?

$x^7$

1. $\left(3k^5\right)^2$

Write $3k^5$ twice and then follow the pattern from part (b).

$\left(3k^5\right)\left(3k^5\right)$

1. $n^7\cdot n$

1. $\frac { 16 x ^ { 4 } y ^ { 3 } } { 2 x ^ { 4 } }$

$\frac{16y^3}{2}=8y^3$

1. $4xy^3\cdot7x^2y^3$
