1-40.

A line passes through the points $A(–3, –2)$ and $B(2, 1)$. Does it also pass through the point $C(5, 3)$? Justify your conclusion.

Look at the points and the line on the eTool. One strategy is to plot the two points on a graph and draw the line carefully. Is point $C$ on the line?

What is the slope between points $A$ and $B$? What is the slope between points $B$ and $C$? Are they equal?

Use the eTool below to solve the problem.
