Solve the following equations.

1. $\frac { 3 } { x } + \frac { 5 } { x - 7 } = - 2$

$x(x-7)\left(\frac{3}{x}+\frac{5}{x-7}\right)=-2(x)(x-7)$

1. $\frac { 2 x + 3 } { 4 } - \frac { x - 7 } { 6 } = \frac { 2 x - 3 } { 12 }$

Multiply both sides of the equation by $12$.
