Use the bar graph at right to answer the following questions.

  1. How many people attended the fair on Tuesday?

    • How tall is the bar for Tuesday? Remember the units (in thousands).

    • Same bar graph as problem, but bar for Tuesday is highlighted.

  • Since the bar is units tall, people attended the fair.

  1. Which day had the largest attendance?

  • Which day has the tallest bar?

    The total attendance for the week is the sum of the daily attendances.

    Determine the daily attendance for each day.

    Example:
    Monday:  people
    Tuesday: people

    Add up the daily attendance totals to get the weekly total (in thousands).

  1. What was the total attendance for the week?
