A line segment is a piece of a straight line. On your paper, draw two line segments that are the same length and each about as long as a pen.

  1. Draw marks on the first line segment to show how you can divide it into eight equal lengths.

    Can you do this one like you did part (a)? Try estimating how big each section should be.
