Copy each expression below and simplify it. Be sure to show the steps you use to get the answer. Homework Help ✎

1. $\frac{11}{12}-\frac{7}{12}$

Remember that when you have a common denominator, you can add or subtract the numerators like whole numbers.

Find a common denominator among all three fractions.

$8$ is a good common denominator to use.

$\frac{4}{8} + \frac{1}{8} + \frac{6}{8}$

1. $\frac{3}{4}-\frac{1}{6}$

Find a common denominator for both fractions, then use a Giant One to convert each one.
