4-51.

The choir is planning a trip to the water park. The cost to use a school bus is $350. Complete the table below then graph your result. Is this a proportional relationship? 4-51 HW eTool (Desmos). Homework Help ✎ Number of Students on the Trip Bus Cost per Student ($) $10$ $15$ $20$ $35$

Complete the table in the eTool below to determine if the data is proportional.

For each number in the table, divide $\350$ by the number of students to find how much the bus will cost for each student going on the trip. For it to be proportional, it must satisfy $y=kx$ for some $k$, where $y$ is the bus cost per student and $x$ is the number of students on the trip.

This is not a proportional relationship. Explain why not.

 Number of Students on the Trip Bus Cost per Student (\$) $10$ $\mathbf{\35}$ $15$ $\mathbf{\23.33}$ $20$ $\mathbf{\17.50}$ $35$ $\mathbf{\10}$
