Solve each of the following inequalities. Represent the solutions algebraically (with symbols) and graphically (on a number line).

Solve each inequality like you would solve any equation.
Solve for the variable by isolating the variables and number values.

1. $3x-3<2-2x$

Note: Steps 1 and 2 can happen in any order.

$5x-3<2\\ \quad +3\ +3\\ 5x+0<5$

Use this simplified inequality to graph the inequality on a number line.
Then try part (b) using the same strategy.

$\frac{5x}{5}<\frac{5}{5}\\ \ \ x < 1$

1. $\frac{4}{5}x\ge8$
