8-110.

Use the laws of exponents to simplify the following expressions. Homework Help ✎

1. $(x^2)(x^5)$

When multiplying two terms with the same base, add the exponents together.

$x^{\left(2 + 5\right)}$

1. $\frac { y ^ { 7 } } { y ^ { 4 } }$

When dividing two terms with the same base, subtract the exponent in the denominator from the exponent in the numerator.

$y^{\left(7 − 4\right)}$

1. $x^3·x^4$

See part (a).
