1. −2x − 3 = 3

−2x − 3 = 3
+3 +3
−2x = 6

Divide both sides by −2

x = −3

2. 7 + 2x = 4x − 3

7 + 2x = 4x − 3
+3 +3
10 + 2x = 4x

Subtract 2x from both sides.

10 + 2x = 4x
−2x −2x
10 = 2x

Divide both sides by 2.

$\large {\frac{10}{2\ }=\frac{2x}{2}}$

$x\ =\ 5$

3. 6x − 10 = −8 + 3x
