Evaluate the expressions below for the given values.

1.  $-2x^2-3x+1$ for $x=-3$

• Substitute $x$ for the value given, and then simplify by using the Order of Operations.

1. $8-(3x-2)^2$ for $x=-2$

Use the same method as part (a).

1. $\frac{-3}{k+2}$ for $k=-3$

Substitute the given value for $k$, and simplify for the denominator before dividing.

1. $\frac{15m}{n+1}-m^2+n$ for $m=1$ and $n=2$

Use the same method as part (c). Remember to substitute the correct values for $m$ and $n$!
