10-108.

A first quadrant coordinate plane with 2 lines. The top decreasing line starts at (0, comma 10) and goes through the point (4, comma 9). The bottom increasing lines starts at (0, comma 3) and goes through the point (3, comma 4).Examine the two lines graphed at right. Will these two lines intersect? Find the equation of each line and test your prediction.

Find the slopes of each line by making slope triangles for each.
Look at the graph to determine the -intercept for each line.

Same first quadrant graph with two lines. The top decreasing line has a slope triangle with vertices at (0, comma 10), (0, comma 9), (4, comma 9). The bottom increasing line has a slope triangle with vertices at (0, comma 3), (3, comma 3), and (3, comma 4). Both slope triangles are shaded.

Use the Equal Values Method to solve the system.
Is there a solution?
