Notice that *x* = 1 makes the function undefined.

Try making a table and using *x* = 0, 0.5, 0.8, 0.9, 1.1, 1.2, 1.5, 2.

*y*-intercept: (0, −2)*x*-intercept: (−2, 0)

There is no value for *g*(1) because dividing by zero is undefined.

This creates a break in the graph.
