Undo the division by multiplying by 6.

2. Solve for $x$. Then check your solution in the original equation.

$\frac{\textit{x}}{6}=\frac{5}{2}$

$\frac{x}{6}\cdot6=\frac{5}{2}\cdot6$

$\frac{6x}{6}=\frac{30}{2}$

x = 15

CHECK

$\frac{x}{6}=\frac{5}{2}$

If x = 15:

$\frac{15}{6}=\frac{5}{2}$

$15=\frac{5}{2}\cdot6$

$2\cdot15=30$

$30=30$

3. Use the same process to solve this equation for $x$: $\frac{x}{10}=\ \frac{2}{5}$.
