There are two ways to solve this. You can substitute the slope for m in the equation below, substitute the x and y coordinates of the given point for x and y, and then solve for b.
y = mx + b
You can also graph the point (10, 9), use the slope to graph a second point, draw the line, and find the y-intercept.
