A-96.

Use legal simplification moves to determine which side of the Expression Comparison Mat is greater.

  1. Expression Comparison Mat. Positive Left: 1 positive, x tile, 1 negative, x tile, 1 positive unit tile, and 3 negative unit tiles. Negative Left: 1 negative, x tile, 2 positive unit tiles, and 1 negative unit tile. Positive Right: 1 positive, x tile, 2 positive unit tiles, and 2 negative unit tiles. Negative Right: 3 negative unit tiles.

Some legal moves are removing zero pairs from one side of the Expression Mat and removing equal tiles from the top and bottom of the Expression Mat.

  1. Expression Comparison Mat. Positive Left: 1 positive, x tile, 2 positive unit tiles, and 2 negative unit tiles. Negative Left: 2 positive unit tiles. Positive Right: 2 positive unit tiles, and 3 negative unit tiles. Negative Right: 1 negative, x tile, 2 positive unit tiles and 1 negative unit tile.
