1-15.

Nafeesa graphed a line with a slope of $5$ and a $y$−intercept of $(0,−2)$.

1. Find an equation for her line.

Use the $y=mx+b$ format and substitute the numerical values for the slope and $y$-intercept.

$y=5x−2$

1. Find the value of $x$ when $y=0$.

Substitute $0$  for $y$.

$5x−2=0$

Solve.

$x=\frac{2}{5}$
