Find the slope and intercepts of $3x+4y=12$. Sketch a graph.

First, find the intercepts. If you forget how, refer back to problem 1-61 (Lesson 1.2.1).

Use the intercepts to sketch the graph. Use a slope triangle to find the slope or rewrite the equation in Slope-Intercept form.

$m=-\frac{3}{4}$

$y\text{-intercept = }(0, 3)$

$x\text{-intercept = }(4, 0)$
