If $f(x) = x^2 + 7x$, calculate the value of:

For (a) - (d), substitute the value for $x$ and simplify.

1. $f(-3)$

1. $f(i)$

1. $f(-3.5 + 1.5i)$

$x = -14.5$

1. $x$ if $f(x) = 0$

Factor $x^2 + 7x = 0$ then use the Zero Product Property.

$x = 0$ and $x = -7$
