2-131.

Find the intercepts, the locator point $(h,k)$, the domain, and the range for each of the following functions.

1. $y=\left|x-4\right|-2$

General equation: $y=a|x−h|+k$

To find the $x$-intercept(s), let $y=0$.
To find the $y$-intercept(s), let $x=0$.

1. $y=-\left|x+1\right|+3$

How does the negative sign affect the graph?
