Create $xy$ tables for each function and graph them. Are they the same?
If not, what is the difference?

Use algebra to rewrite

$y =2\left( x+\frac{3}{4}\right)^2 -\frac{7}{2}$

and compare it to Shuneel's original problem.

These are different functions, so unfortunately, Shortcut Shuneel's shortcut does not work.
The value of $c$ does not match up.
