Look back at the expressions in problem 3-46 that are not equivalent. Are there any values of the variables that would make them equal? Justify your reasoning.

For parts (d) and (f), try setting the two expressions equal to each other,
simplifying, and explaining the meaning of the results.

In part (d), the values $a=0\ \text{or}\ b=0$ would make the two expressions equal.
In part (f), the two expressions are equal when $x=5$.

In part (e), $x\ne0$ because division by $0$ is undefined.

$x=1$ will make the expressions equal.
