7-98.

Solve each of the following equations.

1. $2(x−1)^2=18$

Divide both sides by 2.
How many solutions are you expecting?

1. $2^x+3=10$

Subtract 3 from both sides.

$2^x=7$

log(2)x = log(7)

Take the log of both sides.

Apply the Power Property of Logarithms.

$x·\log(2)=\log(7)$
