This problem is a checkpoint for completing the square to find the vertex of a parabola. It will be referred to as Checkpoint 7B.

Complete the square to change the equation $y = 2x^{2} – 4x + 5$ into graphing form. Identify the vertex of the parabola and sketch the graph.

Check your answers by referring to the Checkpoint 7B materials located at the back of your book.

Ideally, at this point you are comfortable working with these types of problems and can solve them correctly.
