Write the equation of each line described below.

A line with slope $-2$ and $y$ -intercept $7$
Hint (a):
Remember that Slope-Intercept form is $y=mx+b$ .
A line with slope $- \frac { 3 } { 2 }$ and $x$ -intercept $(4,0)$ .

Step 1(b):
Substitute $-\frac{3}{2}\text{ }$ for $m$ in $y=mx+b$
Step 2(b):
Substitute $4$ for $x$ and $0$ for $y$ .
$0=−6+b$
Step 3(b):
Solve for $b$ .
$b=6$
Answer (b):
$\textit{y}=-\frac{3}{2}\textit{x}+6$
