The mascot for Sacramento High School is a dragon.  For an upcoming football game, the cheerleaders have made seven large cards that together spell out “DRAGONS.” Each card has one letter on it.

1. How many ways can the cheerleaders rearrange the letter cards?

Compute the number of permutations possible with $7$ unique letters.

2. How many ways can the letter cards be arranged if the first and last letters are correctly placed?

$1 \cdot 5! \cdot 1 = 120$
