Without wind, a plane will reach it destination
Draw a diagram of the situation.
If the airspeed of the plane is
mph, what direction should the pilot head so that the plane will reach its intended destination? Notice that the vector units are mph but the destination units are miles.
Given part (a), how long will it take the plane to reach its destination?
Use the resultant vector from part (a) to determine the true speed of the plane.
Then you can determine the amount of time it will take for the plane to reach its destination.
