Examine the following derivatives. For part (a), assume $y$ is a function of $x$. Consider the multiple tools available for differentiation and use the best strategy for each part. Evaluate each derivative and briefly describe your method.

Use the Product Rule.

1. $\frac { d } { d x }(\tan^{−1}(2^x))$

$\text{Recall that }\frac{d}{dx}\arctan(x)=\frac{1}{1+x^{2}}.$

1. $\frac { d } { d x }(e^{x^2−2x})$

Use the Chain Rule.
