What $y$-value does $g(x)$approach as $x$ approaches $2$ from both sides?

Since a limit is a predicted $y\text{-value}$, it can exist at a hole.

1. $\lim\limits _ { x \rightarrow 1 } g ( x )$

A two-sided limit must agree from both sides.
