For each description below, write a limit equation and sketch a possible function.

1. As $x → 0$, $y → 9$.

Remember, a limit can exist at a hole.

2. As $x$ gets closer to $3$ on both sides, $f(x)$ becomes increasingly large.

Infinitely large can be notated with the $∞$ symbol.

3. Which of the limits from parts (a) and (b) exist? Explain your reasoning.

Limits exist if the limit from the left agrees with the limit from the right AND that value is finite.
