2-49.

If

What is the slope of the line?

In the equation of a line,

*y = mx + b*,*m*= slope.What is the

*y*-intercept of the line?In the equation of the line,

*y = mx + b*,*b*=*y*-intercept.(0, −4)

Graph the line.

Plot the

*y*-intercept and then use the slope (the top value is*y*and the bottom one is*x*) to find another point, and draw a line connecting the points. You should be able to draw a slope triangle on your graph that matches the slope you found in part (a).

Use the eTool below to graph the line and determine the slope and *y*-intercept.
