What is the slope of the line?
In the equation of a line, y = mx + b, m = slope.
What is the y-intercept of the line?
In the equation of the line, y = mx + b, b = y-intercept.
Graph the line.
Plot the y-intercept and then use the slope (the top value is y and the bottom one is x) to find another point, and draw a line connecting the points. You should be able to draw a slope triangle on your graph that matches the slope you found in part (a).
Use the eTool below to graph the line and determine the slope and y-intercept.
