   Step 1(a):

   Simplify both sides.
   $2x + 2 + 3 = 3x − 3$
   $2x + 5 = 3x − 3$

   Step 2(a):

   Add $3$ to both sides leave only one constant.
   $2x + 5 + 3 = 3x − 3 + 3$
   $2x + 8 = 3x$
   Then take $2x$ from both sides to isolate $x$.
   $2x + 8 −2x = 3x − 2x$

   Answer (a):

   $x = 8$

2. $|2x+1|=10$

3. $|3.2x-4|=-5.7$  

   Answer (c):

   No solution. Explain why.
