If Kenny is trying to find a relationship between the type of celebration and the flavor of cupcake ordered from his shop, how should he calculate percentages? Should he use the columns or the rows?
If Kenny wants to know if the flavors are related somehow to the celebration, he should calculate percentages based on columns.
Describe the association between celebration and cupcake flavor to Kenny.
Find the totals for each column then calculate the percentage each flavor is of the total for each celebration. Make a new table replacing numbers with percents, then look for associations and relationships.
