Write the first five terms of of each recursively-defined sequence.

1. $t(1) = −3$
$t(n + 1) = −2 · t(n)$

$−3, 6, −12, 24, −48$

2. $t(1) = 8$
$t(n + 1) = t(n) − 5$

Substitute $8$ for $t(n)$ in the second equation to find
$t(n + 1)$, which is $t(2)$.
$t(2) = (8) − 5$
$t(2) = 3$

$8, 3, −2, −7, −12$

3. $t(1) = 2$
$t(n + 1) = (t(n))^{−1}$

$2, \frac{1}{2}, 2, \frac{1}{2}, 2$
