Solve each equation for the indicated variable.

1.  $y=3x+2$ (for $x$)

Isolate the term with the $x$ on one side of the equation.

$x=\frac{y-2}{3}$

1.  $a=\frac{b}{c}$ (for $b$)

Multiply both sides by $c$
(Multiplication Property of Equality).

1.  $\frac{x}{2}-7=\frac{y}{3}$ (for $x$)

$x=\frac{2y}{3}+14$

1.  $g=\frac{1}{2}at^2$ (for $t^2$)

$t^2=\frac{2g}{a}$
